FamilySearch.org Workshop January 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th at 8 pm

Using the Free FamilySearch.org web site January 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th at 8 pm

JGSGM will be offering a 4 week zoom workshop beginning on January 4th on the usage of FamilySearch.org. Why use FamilySearch.org?  Well, it is free. Also, it has as much, if not more, to offer than Ancestry. There are over 16.3 billion free historical records and images for more than 110 countries. In addition, they have a digital library holding over 500,000 genealogy books, family histories, maps, yearbooks, and more.  To learn more about genealogy resources for different regions and countries, they have a research wiki that is extremely comprehensive.

So how to access all of these features?  In this limited seating workshop available only to JGSGM members, we will introduce these features and how to use them.

Kindly respond to this email if you are interested in joining these workshops.

The zoom link will be shown once you have registered for this workshop. To register email jgsgm.president@gmail.com. This workshop is for members only. Go to our website https://www.jgs-miami.org/ to view membership options and join or renew online.

The workshop will be led by Robbin Smith. She has over 20 years of experience, including working professionally with clients and teaching genealogy classes.
