The US World War I Centennial  Commission has a new online exhibition: The Volunteers: Americans Join World War l created by the National WWI Museum and Memorial and American Field Service Intercultural Program. The exhibit  examines the stories of the young American men and women who transformed volunteerism in World War l. The volunteers engaged in the war before the United States entered the conflict. Americans served as volunteers in a variety of civilian and military organizations.  The online exhibition can be found at: http://exhibitions.theworldwar.org/volunteers/#!/

The National World War l Museum and Memorial is located in Kansas City, Missouri.
