CREATING A FAMILY HISTORY BOOK USING MYCANVAS
PAULETTE
BRONSTEIN
Paulette Bronstein was born in Augusta, Georgia,
lived in Woodmere, New York for 56 years and has resided in Aventura Florida
since 2003. She began a search for her missing father in 1994 and has been on
an extraordinary genealogical journey since then. She has researched her family
history during multiple trips to Alaska, South Carolina, Georgia, and
Lithuania. A web site for her grandfather’s shtetl, Salakas Lithuania, was
created by her in 2013 (https://kehilalinks.jewishgen.org/Salakas/). Paulette has been the President of the Jewish
Genealogical Society of Greater Miami since 2019. She created four different
family history books for her children and grandchildren using the MyCanvas
program. Hoping that her children and grandchildren might one day be interested
in their family history, Paulette decided that creating these books would be an
appropriate culminating activity to her 25 plus years of genealogy research.
Paulette will lead a workshop format to help
participants understand how to create a family history book using MyCanvas.
